Does getting a link from the same referring domain have diminishing returns?

I have a site with a couple hundred link insertions on blog type sites (real sites not fake garbage) among other links we have obtained through outreach. If I am trying to rank some internal pages, would you recommend going back to those same blogs and obtaining another link from each of them to various internal pages? Already done a lot of internal linking to those pages, need more juice to those pages. Trying to avoid the time it takes to go back to outreach. Since we have already obtained a link from those domains, will a second one have similar value? Or is it diminishing returns.

Google is largely (being careful with my words here) a page level algorithm. There are domain wide calculations but what really matters in terms of diminishing returns is aiming the 2nd link to a different page.

You can try it with a batch of 10 or so pages and see for yourself.

I think you're right about saving the time and expense of finding new sites that will work with you. You might get a quicker ROI from re-covering that same set of sites, but don't kick the can down the road forever. But in the mean time, yes, I think there's zero problem with a 2nd or even 3rd link. I'd probably move on after 3, but I wouldn't hesitate to take 3 links to 3 different pages.
