So last night facebook disabled my account and replied to my appeal with this:

"It's not an acceptable practice to monetize Facebook ad views using unoriginal or extremely minimal content on the destination page for an ad."

I was running long listicles over two to three pages with more than 1,000 words of original content and usually more than 50 images in the list. So apparently that's not allowed. I know a couple people with dedicated account managers that run pages like these, so why me? Boo-fucking hoo, I know.

I'd love to get my account back as I think this is bullshit but I'm probably going to have to accept it (maybe tomorrow) and move on (starting today).

If anyone has advice for getting my account back or any other solution, I'm all ears.

Their support seriously sucks, they banned my account for 'security' reasons and it took almost 3-4 weeks before I even got a reply back

Yeah, strange that you got the hammer. Soon as I logged in this morning I see other pages running the same thing.

Were the images taken from other viral articles, kind of like how upworthy/viralnova will take pics/gifs from all over and mash them up into a list?

They weren't from other viral articles. I compiled them from around the Web but they were not stuff you would see on typical viral sites like those.

It was the same general principal but not nearly as "clicky" or attention whore-ish.

Argh. That's retarded of FB then. Maybe someone new there is being a bit overzealous with the bans. In the past it seemed like that was the reason for their seemingly non-sensical blocking of some of my ads. Hopefully they reinstate your account soon.

Can't you just open another facebook account on a diffrent IP and then use that. ?

I can attst to facebook employing retards, I had my account closed by them, with the reason that I was dead, unfortunatley someone forgot to tell me about that, and I actually had to upload proof of my existence, plus remind them that there is only one person in the world with my name and that there will only ever be one so checking to see if I was dead shold have been fairly easy, still it took them 2 months.

Get a new ip

Get a new card

Get a friends address

also use a new domain in the ads

and don't redirect it to the old one, untill after aproval, probably self explanatory, but still.

oh yeah if you don't want to bother with setting up a new profile you can buy them phone verified on fivrr, I don't know how long they will last you course I haven't used the service just saw it there

Sucks dude - I know the feeling of "why me?" when a ton of other people are doing way worse. I would definitely try appealing again showing how much content is in your list, probably won't work but it's worth a shot.

Unfortunately it might not be that simple to get a new account - made that way most of them end up not making it to full ad accounts and get suspicious billing disable. What people are doing is finding random people and buying/renting FB accounts that are many years old to just use the ad section of the account.

Also the thing about people with active account managers still running similar things. In both Facebook and Google account managers and compliance teams are completely separate. In both it's not account managers jobs to enforce policy, they look the other way often on grey area stuff often and simply don't even know every little rule usually too. However they also have no ability to really save/help you when the compliance team does get you.
