Ive seen the thread of Varys in Wickedfire and He continued his thread here - Becoming a Big Brand - . His journal just inspired me to go get a Website instead of developing a Service that involves writing and branding. I will have to write my own journal in a few days from now and start the website as soon as possible. I've also read a lot of CCarter thread on Wickedfire but its hidden now and I need to pay like $40 to access it, I'll make it happen now.

Anyways back to the topic. This is my 3rd post so I cannot post on his thread still but Im posting it here and will create my own journal like his in 1 or two weeks after getting my finances ready to purchase a 1-2 years domain name for the new site.

One questions though. Is it better to purchase a 1-2 year old site with a high or stable DA or just go with the New domain name?

Also 3 replies and 3 likes im still seeing this? - (You have insufficient privileges to reply here.)

Thanks guys

The CCarter information from those hidden threads exists in their entirety and have been majorly enhanced here: Digital Strategy Crash Course and here: Traffic Leaks Boot Camp. No need to pay $40 for it.

The cron job should tick over and remove that for you, it runs pretty frequently from what I can tell.

Buying an aged site has pro's and con's. You can't choose the brand name because it's already established. But you do get age (if the domain was never dropped and the content stayed in the index). Age isn't just about the domain. Individual pieces of content age as well. Having links already pointing in is nice for sure, as long as they aren't reset to zero value for the site having been out of the index too long.

Another option is to get a new domain that you like, buy an old site or old domain and port the content over to the new domain and 301 the individual URLs and homepage to each respective page on the new domain. Best of both worlds, but you're getting into more technical areas with this with little leeway for mistakes. I don't think the age passes over but the links definitely do.

I started my most recent serious project on a new domain. Check out this thread for some of my observation and our discussion: https://www.buildersociety.com/threads/the-year-one-organic-boost.1763/ I'm still trending upwards as shown in that organic traffic graph.

Haven't tested for a while, but you could also try accessing the WF threads using google cache.

I just logged in. Sorry for the late reply. I was on Training with Wells Fargo for a month and a half for my promotion. But Anyways Ill be checking in daily now and replying.

Thanks for this. I think Ill just go with the new domain as its cheaper compared to an old domain without content available in Go Daddy.

Thanks a lot for your Suggestion dear sir.

Its not working as of today July 07 2016 bud. I tried and it takes me to a You must be a premium member page. But nevertheless thanks Ryuzaki for giving the enhanced Links of the threads. Will definitely read them out, dedicated 3 hours daily into just reading here in the forums.
