It's totally rigged but can't deny the marketing team behind Jake Paul is something to be paid attention to.

It reminds me of what @CCarter said in Social Supremacy

You're scared people won't like your brand, your content, or things can go bad. Guess what? All viral content has negative pressure driving the viral aspect

From now on, Jake is getting more hate. And every fight after this will attract more viewers hoping to watch him get knocked out.

Hope is the ultimate pull here

Ralph Nader (an American politician perhaps once known for being a consumer protection advocate) had a great quote a few decades ago that relates to this.

I'm paraphrasing, but it was something like, "I can't protect a consumer who will buy a twin blade razor."

You have to give credit to Mike Tyson's marketing team as well. The people around Tyson hyped up people as if Iron Tyson was gonna step in the ring and knock Jake out in the first round. There was even a clip of his coach telling him that he's in the best shape ever and the last time he saw him this ready was for some previous fight during his prime. Although I remember the public sentiment in the start just being "he's an old man, Jake should be ashamed of himself" which later turned to "Jake's gonna get knocked tf out"

It was interesting to see Netflix try to maximize the returns of their expense. They had Squid Games villains eating up a front row for a promo, then they had Daniel-San and the "Sweep the leg" guy from Karate Kid / Cobra Kai in attendance together. There was more, like custom filmed clips with actors before playing movie trailers, etc. I felt like they could have/should have done much more impactful marketing but at the same time I'm not sure what those opportunities would have been.

It was also interesting to see how many technical difficulties Netflix had with bandwidth and the boxing organization with camera switching, hot mics being muted and unmuted, ear pieces not working for Evander Holyfield (I almost thought this was a ear-bite joke/gimmick until they never got it fixed), etc.
